0:00 Warning on the display

Here, the display reports a problem with the control unit. In this example, the free check shows that the motor's and control unit's system IDs do not match.

0:11 Prepare the connection

First check whether your control unit and browser are compatible. Switch on the eBike and connect the control unit with a USB data cable. A charging-only cable is not enough.

0:23 Connect in the browser

To connect, click Pair bike in browser. The selection window may show a control unit identifier instead of the bike's name. Select your control unit and confirm the connection.

0:38 Free system analysis

Start the free system analysis. The blue button indicates that resolution is available. Other functions remain locked for now.

0:47 Select and authorise the function

Select Resolve ID conflict. The initial check remains free. Resolution costs €19.99 including VAT. The operation starts after payment or redemption of a valid voucher.

Error message on the eBike

Understanding error codes and ID conflicts.

Bosch error code 112002: different system IDs

On the Bosch smart system, 112002: the control unit's system ID does not match the motor's system ID. Bosch classifies this as an invalid eBike configuration. It can occur after components are replaced and may affect operation.

In the smart system example shown above, this display message was associated with an ID conflict between the motor and control unit. The free initial check detected the conflict, and the offered ID resolution was then completed successfully.

The error number alone does not guarantee an online repair. Only the free check can show whether a suitable ID correction is available for your eBike. The paid function is offered only if it is.

The relationship between the system IDs was checked in the Bosch partner catalogue. The manufacturer's public help page describes the configuration fault and refers customers to a specialist dealer: Bosch Help Center: error 112002 ↗. Content reviewed on 30 September 2026.

A different error number, or still seeing a warning?

A message such as “Control unit – contact a specialist dealer” can have different causes. Note the complete error number. A different code is not automatically treated as an ID conflict. If no correction is offered or the warning remains, send us the number and your control unit model using the contact form.

ID resolution corrects supported system associations. It does not remove a link to someone else's Flow account or replace an inspection of damaged components.

Resolve an ID conflict after replacing a component

The automatic correction aligns the system association of supported components. It is offered only if the free check detects an ID conflict that can be resolved.

Real-world check: verifying an ID conflict after correction

In a documented functional test on 24 September 2026, an ID conflict was resolved on the connected eBike. After the same bike was switched back on and its data read again, it no longer reported an ID conflict. What matters is the confirmed result on the bike; a progress display alone does not prove successful correction. The free initial check shows whether your conflict can be addressed online.

Distinguishing an ID conflict from a Flow account link

A link to a user account in the eBike Flow app is a different issue. This function does not remove someone else's account link or replace proof of ownership.

How successful correction is confirmed

After correction, completion is checked and shown on the website. The session is then ended. If online correction is not possible, the bike still needs to be inspected.
