Service reminder for the Bosch smart system

Bosch eBike: reset the service interval.

Set your next service reminder: in one year, after another 1,500 km or with your own time and distance settings. You can also clear the stored interval. The change is made via USB directly in your browser.

How to reset the service interval

See the real procedure on BlauWerk: read the interval, select “In one year”, authorise it with a voucher and transfer the new setting to the eBike. Finally, the change is read back directly from the same bike.

Real screen recording from 16 October 2026, with narration and German subtitles. Resetting the reminder does not replace servicing.

Read first, then decide

You will see the stored interval and your desired change before ordering. Use a Windows PC with Chrome or Edge for this direct function. Android has not yet been confirmed for it; iPhone and iPad are not supported. Transfer begins only after payment or a valid voucher and your separate confirmation.

Which service reminder would you like to set?

One year from today, another 1,500 km or your own time and distance settings. Before saving, you will see the existing and new values.

Clear service interval: Afterwards, this interval will not trigger another service reminder until an interval is set again. BlauWerk does not recommend clearing it. Regular servicing according to the manufacturer's instructions is still necessary.

  4. Transfer

Connect your eBike to read the stored setting.

Connect eBike

Open this page in Chrome or Edge on a Windows PC. Switch on your eBike, connect it with a USB data cable and select it in the browser window. A charging-only cable is not enough. Close other diagnostic programs first.

No eBike connected yet.

Keep this page open while the operation is in progress. Closing it ends the USB connection. Prepared changes remain stored in this browser for up to 24 hours and can be checked after reconnecting. Nothing is transferred automatically.

Ready to select a USB device.

After a change, the page immediately reads the value again.

Connection and saved order

USB communication takes place directly between your browser and the connected eBike. Prepared changes are stored in this browser for up to 24 hours. Your browser also retains the order receipt so you can resume. Nothing is transferred to the eBike automatically.

To authorise the order and verify completion, the required bike association, existing and desired interval settings, and order status are sent to BlauWerk. A full diagnostic file is not uploaded for this procedure.

Change the service interval directly in your browser

Switch on your eBike and connect it to your Windows PC with a USB data cable. Open this page in Chrome or Edge and select your eBike in the browser window. The connection goes directly to the bike; you do not need a place in the remote diagnostics queue. The website and order authorisation require internet access.

Read and choose first, then pay

The bike ID, existing interval and available odometer reading are read before you order. Then choose your setting and review the existing and new values. Only then do you open payment or redeem a suitable voucher. The change costs a one-off €4.99 including 19% VAT; there is no subscription.

Confirm transfer and restart your eBike

After paying or redeeming a voucher, return to this page and confirm the displayed change. Leave the eBike switched on and connected until the website confirms that the new setting has been read back. Then unplug the USB cable and restart your eBike. An unclear response does not trigger an automatic second write attempt.

A reminder does not replace servicing

You are changing the next service reminder. This does not perform or document an inspection or repair a technical fault. One year and 1,500 km are preset options, not service recommendations for every bike. Follow your manufacturer's instructions and have necessary work carried out professionally, regardless of the reminder.

Questions about the Bosch eBike service interval

Can I reset the service display myself on any Bosch eBike?

No. This function is intended for supported eBikes with the Bosch smart system. You can check here, before ordering, whether the stored interval on your bike can be read. BlauWerk's general remote diagnostics compatibility overview does not guarantee support for this direct interval function.

Which browser and USB cable do I need?

Use a Windows PC with Chrome or Edge and a suitable USB data cable connected to your eBike's designated port. Switch on the bike and close other diagnostic programs. A charging-only cable is not enough. The direct service interval function has not yet been confirmed on Android; use a Windows PC for it. iPhone and iPad are not supported.

How do I set the next service on a Bosch eBike?

Connect your switched-on eBike via USB and let the existing interval be read. Choose one year from today, another 1,500 km or a custom setting, then click “Review change”. Check the existing and new values. Then pay or redeem a suitable voucher. Back on this page, confirm the transfer. Wait for confirmed completion, unplug the cable and restart the eBike.

What do the “In one year” and “In 1,500 km” presets change?

“In one year” sets a date one year from today and removes the existing odometer target. “In 1,500 km” adds 1,500 km to the total distance read from the bike and removes the existing date. The summary shows both target values before you order.

Can I set the date and odometer target myself?

Yes. Under “Custom setting”, you can choose additional kilometres from the odometer reading and/or whole days, months or years from today. Alternatively, enter a future date. At least one target must be set. Without a time setting, the existing date is removed; without a distance setting, the existing odometer target is removed.

Does the interval repeat automatically?

No. You save the next date or odometer reading as a target. This does not create an automatically repeating schedule. After the next service, set your desired target again. The date and odometer target can be saved together.

What happens when I clear the service interval?

The date and odometer target are removed. This interval will then produce no new service reminder until you set a target again. BlauWerk does not recommend clearing it. Regular servicing according to the manufacturer's instructions remains necessary. Clearing the interval does not perform servicing or confirm that an inspection has been completed.

How much does the change cost, and when is it complete?

An authorised change costs a one-off €4.99 including 19% VAT. You can use an offered payment method or a voucher valid for this function. No invoice is issued for a voucher. Reading and selection take place before you order. After authorisation, you confirm the transfer separately. It is complete only when the new setting has been read back from the same eBike and confirmed on the page.

Do I need an available remote diagnostics slot?

No. This service interval function works directly over USB between your browser and the connected eBike. It requires no workshop slot and no remote diagnostics queue. You need an internet connection for the website, the order and the authorisation check.

What should I do if the connection drops after payment?

Do not pay again or redeem another voucher. Follow the resume panel and reconnect the same eBike. The page reads the current state and checks the existing order. A change is not repeated automatically. If the result of a transfer attempt remains unclear, contact BlauWerk with the order number and the displayed message.

Do I need to restart my eBike afterwards?

Yes. First wait until the website confirms the new setting on the eBike. Then unplug the USB cable and restart your eBike. This applies both when setting a new date or odometer target and when clearing the interval.

Does this clear error codes or carry out a service?

No. The service reminder is a maintenance notice. Setting or clearing it does not fix a fault, clear the error memory or replace an inspection. A displayed error message and necessary service work must be assessed separately.
